For the best in Exmoor riding - come riding Exmoor with Doone Valley Trekking

Riding Holidays

The Exmoor riding holidays, riding weekends and short breaks that we offer are not only high quality and excellent value, but are very different from most that you will find. Whereas many set out rigid itineraries, we believe that when you're on a riding holiday, you should be able to 'ride when you're ready', and not when the programme demands it. So riding with us is above all else relaxing, and can be fitted into your day when YOU want. Both the pace of your holiday and the level of riding, be it gentle novice steps on the lower valley paths, or exhilarating hacking over the moors, is entirely up to you. All we ask is that riders are competent at walk, trot and canter.

We offer the following
riding breaks, which include B&B accommodation in a nearby hotel:

2 nights/3 days plus 9 hours riding.

3 nights/4 days plus 12 hours riding.

Our weekend riding breaks normally run from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, but this is flexible.

We also offer
one week riding holidays, which include 21 hours riding and shared accommodation* in our comfortable, VisitBritain 4 star, self-catering Carver's Quarters cottage. We currently have available seven-night holidays starting on:

17 March 2006; October 6th 2006

And no ... a week here is not too long! The whole area around Cloud Farm is well served with good clearly-marked bridleways, and it is easy to spend many days here and not ride the same trail twice. There are also many famous Exmoor locations which can be reached on horseback from Cloud Farm. We will gladly provide escorted rides, and have guides who know the whole area intimately and ride it every day.

And if you prefer to bring your own horse, that's fine... we charge £10 per horse per night which includes up to half a bale of straw, but does not include any hay or hard-feed. Please note: we can only accept your horse with an up-to-date Strangles-free certificate from your vet.

Our Exmoor riding breaks and riding holidays are perfect for adult riding, family riding and capable childrens' riding, but if there are non-riders in your party, don't worry...there is plenty for them to do here! Just click here and have a look at our other website to see what Cloud Farm and this part of Exmoor has to offer.

*Based on two people per room; a 30% surcharge will be applied for sole occupancy.
